SOUTHERN INDIANA HEALTH FOUNDATION AWARDS $400,000 IN INAUGURAL GRANT CYCLE

Funds are dedicated to addressing mental health concerns and prevention.

New Albany, IN (January 20, 2026) —The Southern Indiana Health Foundation (SIHF) has awarded $400,000 in grants to 21 nonprofit organizations across Southern Indiana, marking the Foundation’s first grant cycle under its new name and updated community-focused mission centered on prevention, education, and strategic partnerships.

Formerly known as the Floyd Memorial Foundation, SIHF had redirected its philanthropic efforts toward addressing critical community needs, including suicide prevention, substance use disorders, trauma-informed care, family services, and youth mental health.

“These grants reflect our commitment to meeting people where they are and investing in programs that strengthen mental health, build resilience, and prevent crises before they occur,” said Jessica Staten, Executive Director of the Southern Indiana Health Foundation. “By aligning our investments with priorities identified through regional needs assessments and local data, we’re able to focus on prevention and make meaningful, long-term impact across Southern Indiana.”
